    • Thank you and in this case the water is green. The water is relatively shallow at this location and there is a sand bar underneath, giving the water a green color.

  2. A stunning photo of the pelican…and I love the green water. When I was in the Bahamas, the water colors were so amazing – green, blue, and combinations of them both!

  3. This is a great picture. I was once in Naples, Fl at the beach and this pelican would stand by us. They are big birds. This guy was fishing for sharks, so the pelican would stand there and watch him. The guy kept catching small hammerhead sharks.

    • I agree they do not look so big until you are right next to them or see their wings spread out in flight. I like pelicans for some unknown reason, maybe because they are so unassuming.
